Rowing club pushes the boat out for people in Guatemala
AN EASTER fete at Evesham Rowing Club on Friday (April 13) raised £380 to help save lives of people in Guatemala.
Youngsters were treated to a whole host of fun activities including an Easter egg hunt, face painting, pony rides and a chance to make an Easter bonnet.
Well the Easter Fete proved a great success!
The sun shone and we had a great show of kids and parents alike, outside the kids were entertained with pony rides, face painting and giant board games. Patch the pony was on her best behavior and we definitely saw some budding jockeys take to the saddle – watch out Grand National! Even if I do say so myself the face painting proved a great hit, we had some beautiful butterflies, some rather scary tigers and one lonely looking clown running riot by 6 pm!
We have gotten off to a flying start with our cake Thursday mission……with the trolley raising a massive £70 per week until Nanci took over last week and raised £160! We also had a little help from the web dev team who each provided a cake for sale – well done guys!
So everyones waists may be a few inches bigger, but rest assured its going to a good cause………see you next Thursday!
A GROUP of Evesham Technology employees are heading for Guatemala this summer to install safe stoves in the Mayan Highlands.
